Any day is a good day to celebrate people who have taken steps to change their lives with health and fitness.
Today we learn about Becky and her journey.
Thank you Becky for permission to share and thank you for inpsiring us all.
Becky's story:

"So.... here is a story for ya... kinda long.

My life has been full of adventure, travels and incredible experiences as well as times of fear, anger and trauma. Through it all, one thing has remained. My struggle with my weight and lack of fitness. While I lived in China, it was easy to walk off my bad health habits because walking was required for daily life. When I returned to the States, I struggled. It wasn't until I saw a pic taken of me at a friend's wedding in 2013, that I realized how very unhappy I was in my own skin. I had put a junky hoodie over my sleeveless dress because the sweater I had didn't cover my arms adequately and I was ashamed. Not long after that, I ended up in conversation with my cousin Kara Churchill, who gave me great advice to begin my journey toward loving the skin I'm in. beach wedding dresses 2018
I started a fitness program and started walking the beaches of Ocean Shores, WA, averaging 7-9 miles a day. My most exhilarating/dangerous trek was in stormy weather... a full 14 miles to the jetty and back again. A massive 14 miles dodging driftwood and waves! In 2014, I lost 60+lbs and felt unstoppable!

Fast forward a bit. Ended a bad situation. Found a new direction. Met an amazing man. Moved to Texas. Welcomed a bundle of joy.
Then entered the dark corridor of PPD. The last couple of years have been a struggle with who I am and how I feel mentally as well as physically. Through it all, Kara has been supportive and encouraging. The community of folks she introduced me to has been right there to support and cheer as well! I had the honor of doing a systemic cleanse with a crew of amazing people back in September 2016. Best thing I've ever done. I lost weight and inches, but gained a deep understanding of how my system responds to what I eat. Thanks, Ellen Elisabeth de Werd for your amazing encouragement! I'm ready to do the # ultimatereset again in September!

I've still have struggled getting back on track since then, but I continue feeling the urgency to get back to being me. So, with the start of 2018, I set a schedule. For the whole year.
This year I am completing a series of at home fitness programs which build one on the next. I am embracing the bumps in the road, the ruts I need to get out of and embarking on a journey to find my fitness. I am fighting my intense fear of failure and pressing on. Thank you, Kara and Stephanie Landry for your encouragement and support as this year continues. Thank you, Wesley Woods, for seeing the real me, even when I can't.
